Depending upon which tool is used, this Fine Scale Nail Hole Tool will produce two nail holes per scale six inch clapboard in HO scale/three nail holes per six inch N scale clapboard or two nail holes per scale six inch clapboard in S scale/three nail holes per six inch O scale clapboard on wood, plastic, metal, or paper.
Depending upon the softness or hardness of the surface and the amount of pressure applied to this Fine Scale Nail Hole Tool, will determine the depth of the scale indention into the material. Nail holes need not be so obvious that they stick out like a sore thumb. In all actuality, most nail holes in quality prototype construction do not show anyway.
For the purposes of modeling, nail holes are a nice detailed touch that exhibits realism to the observer. When this Fine Scale Nail Hole Tool is properly used, tiny prick marks will result that will be hardly noticeable until some colored solution or weathering is used to enhance the effects of this tool. Each sheet is a full 6 inches wide and 24 inches long. Now all you have to do is reverse your plans, tape them to the back of this material and start a cutting and you can have FSM siding!
